America’s Most Haunted: A Historical Journey

Once the most famous and expensive prison in the world, Eastern State Penitentiary is now a haunting ruin of crumbling cellblocks and empty guard towers. Known for its radial design and strict solitary confinement, it is widely considered one of the most haunted locations in America.

This French Quarter mansion in New Orleans was home to socialite Delphine LaLaurie, who was discovered in 1834 to have tortured and murdered numerous slaves. After a fire revealed her atrocities, she fled the city. Visitors report hearing screams and moaning coming from the property, as well as apparitions of chained figures and a feeling of overwhelming dread.
